ANNOUNCEMENT: REVIEWER BEWARE SOUNDTRACK

Hey everybody!
Just thought I'd update everyone on the plans going forward into 2020. As of writing, we have about 2/3 of the music done for our next album. We were hoping to go into a proper studio over the summer for the last of the live instruments and vocals, but that’s a bit up in the air. There are NO shows currently planned, for obvious reasons. That’s beside the point though, because I have something to share with y'all.
Several months ago, we offered to do a soundtrack for the YouTube series "Reviewer Beware" and their team accepted our offer. I'm very pleased and extremely excited to announce the first volume of that project drops on Saturday, May 16th. This project is going to be an ongoing series of FREE volumes uploaded for digital download to our Bandcamp as well as streaming services. Links are below for that. We’ll be releasing each volume throughout the year, we have three volumes currently in the works.
A CD release of all of the volumes will happen by the end of the year, we have something pretty special planned for that. To keep things active on our social media, I'll be doing DJ sets regularly and other online things to keep in touch with you guys.

ABOUT REVIEWER BEWARE:

This project appealed to me because of several factors. One was definitely nostalgia, I grew up loving horror and the Goosebumps books as well as the TV show. We wanted to take a different approach to the sonic aspect though, we didn't want to do an 80's slasher-type soundtrack by any means and really strived to give a fresh and different sound considering the online presence of the series. We decided it would be fit to release it under Vanity Contest because we're that proud of the music. We want to keep doing this sort of thing, and considering each of the volumes are short, it wouldn't eat up that much space in the discography. This was a really, really fun project to work on; we got to flex our creative muscles and show a different side of what we do and explore plenty of creative territories. I hope you enjoy as much as we do, and I can't wait to show you more of what we have in store for this project.
